"Where there is pain there is stagnation"
                                                            Chinese medicine adage

Remove the stagnation, and you remove the pain. A healthy pain-free body and immune system are reliant on the movement of blood, Qi (energy)and body fluids (lymph and hormones).  Oriental medicine teaches us that all pain is due to stagnation in one of these systems. Cupping is at least 3000 years old and owes its reputation to stimulating and awakening the greatest responses in the circulatory system, cleansing, detoxing, opening up the meridians and healing.  The pulling action of the cups engages the parasympathetic nervous system, which allows for deep relaxation of the body and mind offering a more holistic wellness approach to stress reduction and insomnia. With this modernized Cupping system the cups are made of silicone, making them softer and gentler on the skin with no risk of burns.

What is a 'Cup Kiss'?
Much like a 'hickey' or 'love bite' it is caused by the pulling of static blood, lymph, cellular debris and toxins from the deeper tissue layers to the surface, thus allowing fresh oxygenated blood to nourish underlying areas.  It's painless and fades away after about 3-5 days.  If you prefer not to be smooched, just let me know and I will keep the cups flowing gracefully.

How will you feel afterwards?
You will often experience a deep warmth and tingling sensation. A profound state of relaxation is felt as the therapy is very sedating on the nervous system.  A good night's sleep is guaranteed...
